Child Protection Training
A new e-learning course developed in collaboration with childrens charity Barnardos.
Our new child protection training e-learning course can be tailored to any workplace environment with the expertise of Barnardos highly experienced child protection experts.
The first version to be completed is a course for educational establishments, forthcoming versions will be made available over the coming months which will include:
- Child Protection Training in the NHS
- Child Protection Training in Local Government
- Child Protection Training in Schools and Colleges
This programme provides staff with an awareness of the legislation and Government policy supporting Child Protection and an understanding of the role of Education providers.
The programme uses a range of methods to provide a framework to develop individuals understanding and confidence in dealing with this difficult issue. These include quizzes, web links and a final assessment quiz.
The programme aims to provide underpinning knowledge to enable staff to:
- Contribute to and take necessary action to safeguard children and young people
- Recognise and respond to concerns about a child in need
- Understand your own role and that of other agencies
- Communicate and act appropriately to safeguard children
- Know how to access support
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is maintained.
This course comes with the Marshall ACM learning management system which allows organisations to see who has completed the training. This may be for internal use or to provide evidence of completed training when inspected by an external body.
All legislation and best practice updates are written by Barnardos ensuring that the training always remains relevant.
